I wish I could've been there. I knew Anson when he was a third class nub. What a day this must have been. Pretty awsome.

Dan, understandably, you and Steph were a bit preoccupied. I know Anson understood, and his speech about Quinn happily resulted in this cool picture being taken. We've all been a Navy family since the get-go, and I was very proud of these Sailors and Marine who posed for this picture with zero hesitation.

Anson is going to be an outstanding officer, a real boon for the Navy. His ceremony was classic, aboard a true piece of American history. His daughters were a wonderful part of the ceremony, changing his shoulder-boards. And they wanted to see Quinn so badly.

Their support for Quinn is huge and perhaps soon, the girls will be playing with him and wondering what all his gurgles and coos mean. He'll probably be saying "do you know who I am? Do you KNOW who I AM!?"

He'll have every right to a braggarts attitude. He's Mighty Quinn.
